Ulysses G. 'Jack' Looney

POLSON — Ulysses G. "Jack" Looney, 86, of Polson died on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.

Jack was born on Dec. 24, 1918, to Jason and Ida Bell (Johnson) Looney in Randolph County, Ark. Jack grew up in Arkansas and then moved to California and was a meat cutter. He retired in 1988.

He liked to shoot guns in competition and was a life member of the NRA. Jack was also a member of the Mission Valley Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife Virginia.

He is survived by a brother, Clifton Looney of Polson, and three sisters, Rhoda "Wanda" Riley of Kentucky, Bonnie Doran of Arkansas, and Juanita Nason of Massachusetts.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Arrangements were by Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory of Polson.
