Peggy Jo Dennis

HINSDALE — Peggy Jo Dennis died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, in an automobile accident. She was born in Hinsdale on Jan. 25, 1939, to Arthur and Patricia (Brown) Harris. She attended school in Malta and graduated from Malta High School.

She worked as a librarian in California. In Butte she was employed at government offices, including NCAT. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and she loved animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Diana Crowder, and her first husband, Larry Dennis.

Survivors include her husband, Wesley Alexander of Butte; sons and daughters-in-law David and Linda Dennis of Columbia Falls and Michael and Patty Dennis of Polson; two nieces and a nephew whom she raised after her sister's death, Valerie and Greg Laymen of Billings, Jo Marie Crowder of Billings, Brian Crowder of Helena, and eight grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial services were conducted Feb. 9 in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date in Malta. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
