Astrie B. Rohrenbach

Astrie B. Rohrenbach, 94, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 10, 2005. Astrie passed away at St. Luke,s Extended Care Facility in Ronan.

Astrie was born to two Norwegian Immigrants- Peder & Olava (Hoavie) Helland on Dec. 22, 1910 at Trenton, N.D. On July 19, 1930 Astrie married George Rorenbach and they were married for 63 years. Three sons were born to this marriage : Carl, Kenneth and Gary who died shortly after his birth.

The family lived in Williston, N.D., Fort Peck, Mont., McCabe, Mont. and Berkeley, Calif. In 1945, they moved back to McCabe where they farmed until they retired.

Astrie's love for the Lord, family and friends was a true sign of her faith. She never had anything bad to say about anyone. She was a great cook and loved to do handcrafts and play Scrabble. She was a wonderful mother and wife.

Astrie was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Polson.

Astrie is survived by two sons and their wives: Carl and Maxine Rohrenbach of Hemet, Calif. and Ken and Blanche Rohrenbach of Polson. A sister Ruth (Les) Brock of Hemet, Calif., eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son and sister Mildred and a brother Paul.

Memorials may be made to The First Baptist Church, Polson.

A memorial service will be held on Sat. Feb. 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Polson with Rev. Rudy Ringhoff officiating. Interment of cremains will be at Lakeview Cemetery.

Cremation and arrangements are by Grogan Funeral Home, Polson.
