Andrew (Andy) Cannon
POLSON — On Feb. 19, 2005, our beloved Andrew (Andy) Cannon, 58, surrounded by his wife and soul mate of 36 years, and three daughters, peacefully left our world after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 29, 1946. As a young man, Andy spent time on a ranch in Texas and developed a love for hunting, fishing, and tinkering on guns. Andy's love of the outdoors evolved into a career with the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. Most recently, Andy had a distinguished career as a detective for the Lake County Sheriff's department.
Andy will be best remembered by those who knew him as a selfless, generous, compassionate spirit with a heart for others.
He was intelligent and eloquent; a wonderful teacher and mentor. Andy touched many lives. He left this world loved and adored by friends, relatives and colleagues who will miss him dearly.
Andrew was preceded in death by his mother Mabel, his father Andrew, Sr. and his brother Hugh.
He is survived by his wife, Marty; his daughters, Kathy Hobza of Billings, Bonny Moore of Red Lodge, Jennifer Cannon of Kalispell; grandchildren Nicholas Maanum, Austin and Abby Hobza as well as his beloved sons-in-law, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-law, mother-in-law and his precious nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. at the New Life Christian Center, Polson, with Pastor Jody Durham officiating. A reception will follow at the church.
Cremation and arrangements are by Grogan Funeral Home, Polson.
