Annual Tim Ryan golf tourney next week
Tim Ryan's 17th annual Mission Valley Scholarship "Golf Tourney and Writer's Night" is Friday, July 15 with tee times at 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m at the Mission Mountain Country Club.
This year's guests include Grammy winning writer and multiple ASCAP Writer of the Year, Craig Wiseman. Wiseman has over 200 songs recorded including "Live Like You Were Dying," "The Cowboy in Me" and "Green Grass Grows" by Tim McGraw and "The Good Stuff" and "Young" by Kenny Chesney.
Other guests include hot Nashville writer Leslie Satcher and producer Mac McAnnally who has worked with Jimmy Buffet and Little Feet. McAnnally wrote "Two Dozen Roses" by Shenendoah, "Old Flame Burning" by Alabama and "All these Years" by Sawyer Brown.
Plus there will be a pig roast and awards with over $83,000 awarded to local students.
2005 recipients are Amanda Aipperspach, Britnee Benson, Sarah Guenzler, Sam Herreids, Bill Moore, Whitney McCollum, Trista Ebinsteiner, Lacy Frey, Ben Lipscomb and Ian Fleming.
