Ebba Linnea Parsons

POLSON — Ebba Linnea Parsons, 91, formerly of Polson, died of natural causes on Thursday, May 26, 2005, at Diamond Point Care Home in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Ebba was born Jan. 24, 1914, to John and Gunda Erickson in Kulm, N.D. In 1915, she moved with her parents, brothers and sisters to Bowdain (near Malta) where she grew on a farm. Ebba lived and worked in Minnesota for one year before moving to Finley Point near Polson in 1933. She attended school for two years in Polson.

On June 13, 1935, she married Ray Parsons and they moved to Irvine Flats, where they raised their six children and ranched until they retired in 1972. They moved into Polson where they resided until 1994. They then moved to Scottsdale. Ebba was preceded in death by her husband Ray, her parents, 10 brothers and sisters, and a daughter-in-law.

She is survived by her three sons, Tike (Mary) of Polson, Paul of Clackamas, Ore., and Don (Joan) of Lewistown; three daughters, Karoline (Tony) Chavez of Eugene, Ore., Kathleen (Ron) Williams of Clancy, and Perlina (Don) McCombs of Gig Harbor, Wash.; one sister, Patsy; three sisters-in-law, Edna Erickson Youngren; a brother-in-law, Victor Wise; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Mom was a devoted mother and grandmother and dedicated her life to her family. Her hobbies were crocheting and her houseplants. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The funeral service will be held today, Thursday June 2, at 11 a.m. at the Grogan Funeral Home Chapel in Polson. Interment will follow the services at Lakeview Cemetery. A reception at Grogan Funeral Home will follow the graveside services.
