Gladys Lillian Moen

POLSON — Gladys Lillian Moen, 87, of Polson died of natural causes on May 31, 2005 at St. Luke Hospital in Ronan.

Gladys was born to Ole H. and Hannah (Otteson) Johnson on Aug. 25, 1917, in Tioga, N.D. Gladys attended school in Tioga and graduated from high school there. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church.

She was working in Park River, N.D., when she met and married Leonard Moen on Dec. 18, 1937. Gladys and Leonard lived and farmed in Ambrose, N.D. until 1969.

They moved to Polson in 1969 and Gladys worked a short 15 years at Eddie's Drug.

She retired when Eddie's Drug closed.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Leonard in 1995, and three brothers.

Surviving are her children, Maxine Bendixson of Zahl, N.D., Sharon Semingson of Hillsboro, Ore., and Cameron Moen of Missoula; siblings Luella Syverson of Larimore, N.D., Homer Johnson of San Diego, Pearl Lewis of Belmore, N.Y., Phyllis Thorvilson of Williston, N.D., Laverne Johnson of Tioga, and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on at the Grogan Funeral Home Chapel in Polson with the Rev. Paul Rowold officiating.

Inurnment was Lakeview Cemetery in Polson. Arrangements were by Grogan Funeral Home of Polson.
