School personnel's help is appreciated

| June 8, 2005 12:00 AM

Editor,

I write this short note to show my appreciation to the staff members of Polson High School who aided our daughter Samantha in completing her senior year of high school.

As a home schooling family, we had reached a point with Samantha's education where greater expertise was needed. In recognizing this need, we contacted Polson High School principal Rick Rafter. Mr. Rafter graciously aided us in formulating a plan. Upon entering Polson High School, counselor Kris Sampson then endeavored to direct Samantha in her course of studies. At the conclusion of the school year, Mrs. Sampson also helped Samantha forward her transcript to Samantha's college of choice.

We are also grateful for the instruction Samantha received from Mrs. Donna Olsen (Spanish III), Mr. Marlin Lewis (Math IV), and Mr. Jon Petersen (Chemistry). Together with Samantha's home schooling studies and the kind assistance from the staff at Polson High School, our daughter received a wonderful grammar and secondary school education. This combined effort made Samantha's acceptance at Thomas Aquinas College in California a successful one.

Thank you, Mr. Rafter, Mrs. Sampson, Mrs. Olsen, Mr. Lewis and Mr. Peterson.

Sam T. Marshall
