Velma L. Bauer

Velma L. Bauer, 80, former Ronan resident, died May 24, 2005, in Vancouver, Wash.

She was born May 10, 1925, in Roundup. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Preceding her in death were her husband of 57 years, Richard Bauer, four brothers and three sisters.

She leaves behind four daughters, two sons-in-law, Vicki Liger of Palm Desert, Calif., Ricki and Chi Landauer of Vancouver, Constance Stevens of Camas, Wash., and Ardyce and Doug DesJarlais of Stevensville; three grandchildren, Michael Landauer, Shane (Justine) and Casey (Brandy) DesJarlais; two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Hannah, her twin brother Vance and sister Gloria Ann Olson.

Velma lived in Ronan where her husband taught high school, then moved to California for 10 years where they managed apartment complexes, and returned to Ronan for their retirement.

After her husband's death and due to health problems, she moved to Vancouver in 2003 and lived with her daughter and son-in-law.

Her greatest love of life was her husband, children and family and she will be missed by all.
