Ella Hendrickson
GLENDALE, Ariz. — Ella Hendrickson, a Polson resident for many years, died May 25, 2005, in Glendale. She was 100 years, one month and two days old. She recently resided in Phoenix.
Ella Amelia Moline was born to Matilda and William Moline in Anoka, Minn., April 25, 1905. She graduated from Anoka High School in 1925.
She was married to Lute Wethern who was fatally injured in a car crash. Ella was seriously injured in the same accident and took many months to heal.
She moved to Montana and married Charles Hendrickson. They lived in Turner, Kalispell and Polson. She claimed to be a housewife, but she was also a substitute rural mail carrier, a great cook, a collector and an artist.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, sisters Irene Ostlund and Edna Runquist, and some nieces and nephews.
She is survived by sisters Bertha Rodby, 102, and Shirley Spencer; several nieces and nephews, and stepsons Robert (Virginia) Hendrickson and D. Thomas (Phyllis) Hendrickson. Ella is remembered by many friends, neighbors and people in the Polson art community.
Burial took place at Forest Hills Cemetery, Anoka.
