Lillian E. Molzhon
THOMPSON FALLS — Lillian Elaine Molzhon, 75, died at her home in Thompson Falls on June 7, 2005.
She was born on the family farm near Watford City, N.D., the daughter of Raymond and Sylvia Spence. She grew up and attended country school at Rocky Glenn.
Lillian married Albert Wold, and they had two children, Lynn and Loretta.
They later divorced, and she married Louis Dorman and had three children, Dave, Cinthia "Blondie" and Randy; they later divorced.
She eventually met the love of her life, Lawrence Molzhon, and they were married in Thompson Falls; they enjoyed 45 years together and had four children, Pete, Brian, Laura and Samie.
They farmed in Ronan, Trout Creek and finally Thompson Falls.
Lillian enjoyed staying active on the farm. A mother of nine already, she often mothered and nursed the livestock to health. She was a 4-H leader and ran a meat shop.
Later in life, she worked at Grannie's and Boomtown Cafe, where she was famous for making cinnamon rolls and pies. She also loved flowers and her garden. Lillian will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Keith; a sister, Vera; a son, Randy Dorman; and two grandsons, Jeffrey and Laddie.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; four sons, Lynn Wold (and wife, Brenda) of Hamilton, Dave Dorman (and wife, Cheryl) of Columbia Falls, Pete Molzhon (and wife, Christine) of Spokane, and Brian Molzhon (and wife, Maria) of Thompson Falls; four daughters, A. Loretta Green of Kalispell, Cinthia "Blondie" Parker (and husband, Larry) of Big Arm, Laura Lumley of Plains and Samie Helvey (and husband, Vern) of Thompson Falls; two brothers: Sam Spence (and wife, Sheryl) of Fort Collins, Colo., and Dennis Spence (and wife, Maria) of Polson; three sisters, Lenore Hildenstab of Canyon Creek, Charlotte Bird (and husband, Gene) of Polson and Karen Synness (and husband, John) of Helena; 31 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held June 10, at St. Williams Catholic Church, Thompson Falls. Burial was in the Molzhon family cemetery on the farm. Arrangements were under the direction of Bunch-Toews Funeral Chapels.
