Archie R. Wright

RONAN — Archie R. Wright, 95, of St. Ignatius died peacefully at Mountain View Care Center in Ronan on Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, after a few days at the Ronan Hospital.

Archie was born on July 22, 1909, at home in Lindon (Pleasant Grove), Utah, the 10th child of James Thomas and Annie Robbins Wright.

He married Miriam Warnick on Sept. 8, 1933, for time and eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. Six children were born to this eternal union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, all of his brothers and sisters, his daughter Nedra Wright Stevens, one granddaughter and two great-granddaughters.

He is survived by a son, James Louis Wright (wife LaRae) of Kimberly, Idaho, daughter Carol Wright Iverson (husband Charles) of Layton, Utah, son Lawrence David Wright (wife Ann Marie) of Great Falls, and Riverton, Utah, daughter Naoma Wright Eastly (husband Jay Eastly) of West Jordan, Utah, and son Lynn Alan Wright (wife Connie) of Missoula; 38 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Archie attended schools in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the North Central States Mission. He held numerous church callings, concluding with that of Stake Patriarch for many years. He was a farmer-rancher throughout his life and enjoyed improving the land.

He and Miriam and their young family moved from Utah to Montana in 1937 where they resided thereafter.

Funeral services were held March 2 in the St. Ignatius Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the LDS Mission Fund.
