Lawrence J. Dresen

ANDERSON, Calif. — Former Polson resident Lawrence J. Dresen, 78, of Anderson died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at his residence. A Celebration of Life was held March 5 at his home.

Born Nov. 29, 1926, in Windham, he moved to Polson during his high school years. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II.

After the war he became a plumber and worked for George Folden in plumbing and heating in Polson from 1948-1953. He moved to Hayward, Calif., and worked as a plumber there for 25 years and joined the Plumbers Union 342.

Lawrence moved to Shasta County in 1976 where he was also a member of the Redding Moose Lodge 1006.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Dresen; daughters, Kerry Pierce and Denise Walker, both of Cottonwood, Calif., and Sandi Nagy of Concord, Calif.; brother, Dick Dresen of Aromas, Calif.; a sister, Virginia Averill of Bigfork; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
