Bauers grateful for kindnesses

| March 16, 2005 12:00 AM

Editor,

A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and paramedics; the community and Church Relief Society for all the great meals; the priesthood for setting up and cleaning up after the services, the young men's and young women's organizations for baby sitting. We appreciate the many thoughtful people for their kind deeds and prayers at this time of sorrow.

An example of Polson 'neighborliness'

Editor,

I was thinking that your readers might be interested in hearing of some Polson neighborliness.

It was late afternoon, March 11. My husband, two installers for our new hot tub, and the 600-pound tub were stuck on the steps of our deck. No one in our neighborhood was around to help.

I thought to call a close business neighbor — Blue Ribbon Auto Body of Polson.

Although we didn't know anyone there and we had never done business there, two men arrived minutes after my somewhat frantic call.

The four extra hands did the trick, and the hot tub was where it belonged shortly after they came. The men refused our offer to pay them for their much-appreciated efforts.

I call that "Polson neighborliness." My husband, John, and I are very grateful to have been recipients of it.
