Power poles are twice as ugly as old ones
Editor,
From a letter to Ralph Good, General Manager, Mission Valley Power:
My wife and I own and operate Circle P Ranch Vacation Rentals at 1868 South Shore Route 35, Mile Marker 2).
The main house is located on a knoll with a beautiful view of Flathead Lake.
This, of course, is why we purchased this piece of real estate five years ago.
This week Mission Valley Power installed power poles that are twice as large and twice as ugly. These poles are repulsive and can hardly wait for you to string your wire/lines. Don't be at all concerned with the homeowners, as we now have a view of ugly power poles. Did you even consider homeowners and their views?
Or did you just decide to erect whatever fit "your" needs.
I used to have a beautiful view of the lake. Now all I see are these huge power poles. So much for the beautification look around the lake that the city and county are trying to adopt to attract tourism.
Do the community a favor and take a good luck at the appearance of your handy work on Hwy. 35.
I cannot believe Mission Valley Power did no drop these lines under ground or consult with the community. Just another job gone bad.
