Free enterprise made America great

| November 16, 2005 12:00 AM

Dear Editor,

The American democratic process is being corrupted by politicians who are unwilling to play by the rules. A majority vote is supposed to decide an issue. There are always minorities on every question, but the majority vote is the law.

Today the minority is trying to cancel the democratic process by filibustering, by calling the president and his administration liars, or as in two cases in Texas, by going out of state so a quorum wasn't available. These moves disqualify these politicians from the right to hold office and from the vote of Americans.

These actions undermine the whole democratic process and are being used to destroy American rights and value. Their only policy seems to be slander and their program is un-American socialism.

Socialism was tried and died in the Plymouth Colony. Free enterprise was enacted and has made America great. Don't let them change it!
