Glad for Glacier Bank's flag and sign
Editor,
This is a response to Seth A. Bloom's letter in the Sept. 22 Leader:
To: Seth A. Bloom who lives in "the Last Best Place," Polson, Montana. I see in the Leader you disagree with Glacier Bank's sign, "in God We Trust."
I'm happy to say, "Thank you, Lord" for placing me in the USA and [for the] Glacier Bank sign. (Keep it up).
God blessed America, one nation under God.
I'm grateful to President Eisenhower for adding "under God" to the Pledge of Allegiance. I pray they never remove it.
Yes, you have a choice to express your opinion in the USA. Mr. Bloom, we're lucky to do this.
Many years ago, under Jesus Christ walked this earth with us. He came to love and serve and teach. He also willingly went to the cross to shed His blood and die for our sins and giving us a right to choose to walk with Jesus or not to walk with Jesus. Jesus never interferes with our choice.
I'm not in agreement with your letter, but it's your right to speak.
No man has a right to do as he pleases unless he pleases to do right.
The worst agony of life is living without purpose.
I'm sure the bank will survive with your comments and without your money.
As for me, I will still be a customer of Glacier Bank if for no other reason than their big, beautiful American Flag and their sign "In God we Trust." Amen.
L. Ryan
