Injustice to Jore must be rectified
Editor,
In studying the facts of last year's House District 12 election, one can only conclude that Rick Jore is being unjustly punished for errors committed by the Lake County vote canvassers. They made the determination of which ballots supported which candidate, not Rick Jore.
Rick Jore is innocent of any wrong doing — unless it's a crime to be a third party candidate — and should not be held responsible for paying the legal costs of Anita Big Spring, the individual who brought suit against him.
This injustice must be rectified. Those in power now will not suffer immediately from the court's unjust ruling, but the time may come when they are in the position that Mr. Jore is in now. Injustice to one citizen opens the door to injustice to any and all citizens.
All citizens need to stand in support of Mr. Jore, not just for his protection from injustice, but for their own as well.
