How much longer must they wait?

| October 13, 2005 12:00 AM

Editor,

When are the families of Catherine Madplume and Gerald Sirucek going to hear anything else as they sit patiently in the courtroom week after week? When are the victims going to have their day in court? Is it going to be soon or will it be never? To see those two mothers sobbing after each court appearance by the accused is heart-wrenching to say the least.

While Gerald and Catherine should have been in college this year, their brutal killers are still no closer to being tried for the killings than they were in February. How much longer do these two young people have to wait for their justice?

How do the accused families feel? Don't they also want closure to this as do the victims' families? Can someone give answers to these questions?
