Esther L. Hutchison

Esther L. Hutchison, 83, of Polson died in her sleep Oct. 12, 2005.

She was born to Emiel and Bertha Carlson on April 1, 1922. Esther lost her mother at the age of five. Their father raised her and her sister, Elsie Orcutt of Conrad, on a farm.

Esther married Blaine Hutchison on Sept. 4, 1940, in Townsend. Blaine died July 11, 1977.

Esther is survived by her sister Elsie; daughters Helen Utsond of Missoula, Barbara Proud of Dayton, Shirley Jensen of Whitefish, and Lorraine Boyer of Ronan; seven grandchildren, Brenda, Brian, Brad, Dana, Amy Jo, Tisha and Bretta; six great-grandchildren, Casey, Emily, Brandon, Pamela Jane, Tony and Mariah.

Esther enjoyed her activities in the VFW, Sons of Norway and Royal Neighbors. She loved to play cards and games with anyone, anytime. She was a hard worker and worked for many places in Polson over the 50 years she lived here. She loved to sew and make craft items. She would try her hand at almost anything.

Esther will be cremated and her cremains laid to rest with Blaine.
