Joan Elaine Raymond

PABLO — Joan Elaine Raymond, 54, of Pablo, died at her home on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005.

Joan was born to Reynold and Lillian (Bisson) Hartung on Dec. 31, 1950, in St. Ignatius. She attended schools in Polson and high school in Ronan. Joan also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the Salish Kootenai College

She married Mark Raymond on May 13, 1971, in Polson and they had two children together. She and Mark later divorced.

Joan enjoyed needlepoint, sewing, crochet, making dolls, cooking, baking, listening to music, reading good books and watching good movies. Joan had a heart of gold. She was a kind, loving and honest person. You always knew where you stood with Joan. She was proud of her heritage and was a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribe.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Leila.

Surviving are her children, Jennifer Raymond of East Helena and Aaron Raymond of Missoula; four grandchildren, Jasmine, Ashley, Brittany and Kelsey; two sisters, Billie Hartung of Pablo and Sherry Hartung of Polson; one brother, Mark Hartung of Polson; numerous nieces and nephews and several other relatives.

A graveside service will be held on today, Thursday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. at the Ronan Cemetery with Pastor Gregg Perkins officiating.

Arrangements are by Grogan Funeral Home of Polson.
