Ronan/St. Iggy girls track nabs top spot, boys take third

The Ronan/St. Ignatius girls track team took home the title at Bigfork last weekend, with a great performance, and having the whole team competing proved to be a great advantage during the track meet. The boys placed a respectable third.

The Ronan girls finished with a total team score of 124 points with the Polson girls coming in second with a score of 94 points, and the Charlo girls finished fifth with 54 points.

In the 300 meter hurdles Sadie McMillan finished first with a time of 51.22, and Christa Salomon finished third with a time of 54.95.

Terinee McCready took first in the 3200 meter run with a time of 12:20.63, and Kaneesha Benson took fourth with a time of 13:27.53.

Kelsey Cable placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 14'4".

Sadie McMillan and Kelsey Cable took second and third in the high jump with a height of 4'8".

In the 100 meter hurdles Christa Salomon placed fifth with a time of 19.01.

Finishing second in the 100 meter dash was Briana Malmquist with a time of 13.22, and finishing fourth was Stephanie Salomon with a time of 13.63.

Ronan took second in the 400 meter relay with a time of 53.56.

In the triple jump Kelsey Cable placed first with a distance of 32'3", and Kelsey Salomon placed second with a distance of 30'0".

Terinee McCready took second in the 1600 meter run with a time of 5:41.11, and Kaneesha Benson took fourth with a time of 6:05.14.

In the 200 meter dash Tenille Hennessy took second with a time of 27.94, and Stephanie Salomon took third with a time of 28.83.

Ronan finished first in the 1600 meter relay with a time of 4:25.31.

The Ronan boys finished with a total team score of 86 points at the Bigfork Invitational last Saturday, leaving them in third place behind Polson's first place score of 114, and ahead of Charlo's ninth place score of 14 points.

Michael Fisher finished first in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:23.57.

In the javelin Aaron Trudeau finished fourth with a distance of 136'2".

Cameron Barber placed second in the long jump with a distance of 18'11 1/2".

In the triple jump Barber took fifth with a distance of 37'5 3/4", and Trudeau took sixth with a distance of 35'6 3/4".

"Cameron Barber and Alan Skogen are doing well in their events and should continue to do well. We have a good distance team, and we are pretty well rounded." says Noelle Oakland.

Andrew Graham finished the 800 meter run in second place with a time of 2:09.22.

In the shot put Alan Skogen placed fourth with a distance of 44'2 1/2"

Ronan placed fifth in the 400 meter relay with a time of 47.22.

For the 400 meter dash Tyler Espinoza took second with a time of 53.70, Buddy Cheff took third with a time of 58.70, and Makenzie Kelch took fourth with a time of 58.78.

Barber placed first in the high jump with a height of 6'0".

Andrew Graham finished third in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:52.35.

In the 200 meter dash Sterling Green took fourth with a time of 24.80.

Ronan placed fourth in the 1600 meter relay with a time of 3:45.31.
