Harley Peone

| April 27, 2006 12:00 AM

ST. IGNATIUS — Our hearts are heavy as we say good-bye to our beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, Harley Davis Curtis Peone. Harley left this Earth to join those he loved in the great beyond on Saturday, April 22, 2006.

From the first moment he came to join us on May 16, 1987, Harley was a spirit who loved life and adventure. His humor was a gift that he shared with all. Throughout his journey, Harley never shied from taking risks and living life to the fullest.

He loved challenges and was proud to be a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.

Harley was passionate about his family and the history of his tribe. Today his warrior soul flies free above the Mission Mountains he called home.

Harley is survived by his mother Lynn Hendrickson; brothers Joshua and Shilo Brown; sister Desiree Peone; grandmothers Dottie Cates and Adeline Bernice Peone, and his special love, Valdena Barnaby.

As he soars to the heavens, Harley will join his father Stanley Eugene Peone; brother Elijah Alexander Peone; uncle Gary Peone; grandfathers Jim Cates, Jock Hendrickson and Francis Wally Peone; and cousins Blythe Bolman and Cameron Hendrickson.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today, Thursday, April 27, at the Longhouse in St. Ignatius.

Services are under the direction of Foster & Durgeloh Funeral Home.
