Norma June Dachwald

KALISPELL — One Classy Lady, Norma June Dachwald, 75, died on Thursday, April 13, 2006, at her home in Kalispell.

A former Polson resident, she was born on July 27, 1930, in Minot, N.D., to Ruben and Agnes Myrtle (Tunnel) Olson.

Norma moved with her family to Polson at the age of five and received her early education there, graduating from Polson High School in 1947. She then attended business college for two years.

After her son Richard was born in 1951, Norma returned to Kalispell. She worked various secretarial jobs until starting with Pacific Power and Light in 1955, where she remained for 17 years. Norma was a member of Toast Mistress and the Business Professional Women's Club. She enjoyed golfing, Hawaiian dancing and traveling through Europe.

Norma was preceded in death by her father; her sister: Darlene Nelson; her step-father: Carl Pearson; and a step-brother: Carl Pearson, Jr.

She is survived by her son: Richard LaMarr of Kalispell; her mother, Agnes Pearson of Spokane; brothers Wayne, Dennis, and Larry Olson; half-brother Mike Pearson; step brother Don Pearson; step sister Colleen Wise; grandson Thomas LaMarr; granddaughter Stephanie LaMarr; two nieces, Diana Marshall and Norma Loberg and a very close friend, Bill Harris.

Graveside services for Norma were held April 22 at the Glacier Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ed Koteskey of the First Church of The Nazarene officiating.

Johnson Mortuary and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
