Replace Burns with Testor
Editor,
I'm writing because we need to get rid of Conrad Burns. He's been documented as the highest-priced senator who took more money from Jack Abramoff than any other Senator. While a lot of Republicans say they want someone in the senate with seniority, I don't want Burns to continue using his seniority to sell away the people's interests. He's become nothing more than a high-priced carpet-bagger.
We need a real Montanan in office. Jon Tester is a third-generation farmer from Big Sandy, and he may not have seniority in the U.S. Senate, but he makes up for it in his personal integrity, and in the wealth of benefits he's given us as president of the Montana Legislature. He lowered health care and prescription drug costs for seniors and children, gave more money to fund education, and started alternative wind and ethanol development — all without raising our taxes.
I want someone with integrity to represent us Montanans in office — not someone who will sell us out to the highest bidder once they're elected.
Unlike Conrad Burns, Jon Tester has roots here that he can't betray. We need him because we need a real Montanan for real change in Washington.
