'Discussions' are too unruly
Editor,
Name calling. Temper tantrums. Shouting to make a point more clear.
Have I mentioned that these are the actions of the adults I've witnessed during all of the Wal-Mart discussion forums? I understand that the Super Wal-Mart topic is a hot button issue in Polson but enough is enough of the juvenile behavior coming from both parties. In the past few weeks I've witnessed personal attacks made on both sides and seen "discussions" turn into shouting matches. I understand that it's hard not to have an opinion about the Super Wal-Mart. However, those individuals who have resorted to seventh grade retaliations should be ashamed of themselves.
Being that I recently moved to Polson I admire the civic action that has taken place over the issue, but I think it's time that the community take a step back, reevaluate and consider what the other side has to say. Without listening to one another, nothing of true value is going to be accomplished except for an increase in headaches.
And if you can't listen to the other side, do yourself the favor of not embarrassing yourself and our town by making personal attacks as a substitute for valid evidence to support your view.
