Downtown stores can survive

I am totally in favor of the Wal-Mart expansion. What Lake County needs is jobs, jobs, and more jobs. The Wal-Mart SuperCenter is a start.

Polson is the natural progression of not only a Wal-Mart SuperCenter but many other retail shops.

The downtown stores will also receive a boost as they carry unique and specialty items that are not carried at Wal-Mart. The spirit of competition and growth has been what has made our county great.

And the pros outweigh the cons when you consider the convenience of not having to travel to Missoula or Kalispell.
