Present Wal-Mart size is sufficient

| February 8, 2006 12:00 AM

Editor,

The Wal-Mart that is here now in Polson is well over a football field in size, by far the largest retail store in Lake County. It employs 150 friendly people. It already has a huge piece of the pie. It sells sporting goods, televisions, milk, bread, plants, office supplies, etc.

What would anyone want that you couldn't already buy in this massive store? It is working.

I absolutely agree with my high school principal and visionary, Dr. Joe McDonald, and an expansive group of Lake County residents that at this time we do not need to pave 27 aces of beautiful landscape at the entrance to our fine city for the benefit of a super center.
