Editor,

Thanks to our generous community members and businesses who donated to the benefit Indian taco feed and silent auction fundraiser held at Two Eagle River School on Feb. 11:

Jimmy Malatare for the Iron Indian war bonnet hanging; Liz Doney, Campbell's Soup Kids bank with chalkboard; Sonny Doney, "Red Tail" CD; Cheers, Etc., large pizza of choice and two steak dinners; Aggie Incashola, 2-3T traditional outfit (girl's shell dress); Durreta Billedeaux of Miracle Hands, a massage session; Dan Depoe of Depoe's Junction, four miscellaneous items; Donna Pablo $25 cash; Stacy Kiser, $20 cash, and a warm apple pie that went for $34 in the silent auction; Kathy Tapia, handmade quilt; Diana Taylor, wolf collectors plate and brave statue; a friend, breakfast tea set; Ellen Frank, women's black leather jacket; Ralph and Phyllis Foster of Hava Java, $50 gift certificate; Ron Williams, watercolor painting "Peregrine Falcon;" Roxanna Coleman-Herak, two Swiss massage sessions; People's Center, plastic canvas picture frame; Rudi and Clarice King, three passes to "Magic of Jay Owenhouse" and Deerslayer knife; Louie Charlo, hand drum.

Thanks to our friends who turned out to support this very important cause; special thanks to Clarice King for allowing us to utilize Two Eagle River school; TERS kitchen staff Tamie Todd, Lena Burland and Josie Alexander for use of the kitchen and donating the food; my special friend, Cheryl Morigeau, for her tireless effort and time spent on top of her full time job at the school to assist in any way possible (she's always right beside me frying bread); Eve Krantz for helping me solicit donations, her devotion to the cause; Jasmine Bocksnick and Shane Morigeau (Cheryl's grandchildren) for helping in the kitchen and cleaning the facility. It makes me proud to see such young children so willing to help out. Our benefit fundraiser was a success.

Each time I received a donation, it brought tears to my eyes. Each of you gave without hesitation. I feel very proud to be part of such a giving, caring community. Thank you.
