Luella May Forman

POLSON — Luella May Forman, 94, of Polson died of natural causes on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at her residence.

She and her twin brother, Lester, were on born June 20, 1911, in Tacoma, Wash., to Richard and Petra (Halverson) Harris who moved to Valley View when the twins were three months old. She also had three sisters and three other brothers who all preceded her in death.

She graduated from Polson High School in 1929. In 1934 she married Ralph Sizemore, and they had three daughters. They had a dairy farm on the East Shore for many years.

After his death in 1951, she moved to Polson. She worked at Safeway for a number of years.

In 1956 she married Ivan Forman, and they lived in Valley View.

In 1960, the farm was sold and they lived near Dayton where they built their new home.

After several years they moved back to Polson where they lived until his death in 1991.

Since 1999 she made her home at St. Joseph Retirement Community.

Mrs. Forman attended the Polson Christian Church and was a devoted church member with true love for the Lord. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Polson Senior Citizens.

She also volunteered at the Country Store for a number of years.

Luella spent many happy days with her family and grandchildren.

She enjoyed reading, quilting, handcrafts, working puzzles, cooking and baking as pastimes.

Three daughters, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren survive her. Her daughters are Irma (Norman) Waldron of El Cerrito, Calif., and their son Mark and his family of Longmont, Colo.; Katherine "Kay" (Jim) Martell of Kennewick, Wash., Debbie DePersis of Radcliff, Ky., and Susan Newton of Redmond, Ore., and their families; Joyce GoBell of Reston, Va., and her children Robert of Denver, and his three sons, and Diane of Reston; Joyce's husband Bob died on Aug. 10, 2003.

Her second family also survives Luella. Ivan's four children — La Dene Reid of Chandler, Ariz., and her four daughters; Diane Clark of Olney, Gloria Mellor of Woodburn, Ore., Wanda Karsten of Polson, Lora Smith of Polson and their families; and Kendal Forman of Polson and his children, Jenaya (Gregg) Webster of Polson, Sheryl Kantola of Camino Island, Wash., Sheri McIntire of Eugene, Ore., and their families, Maurita Forman and her two daughters and Michaela Forman of Polson, Karen (Jerry) Hrirtz of Salem, Ore., and their sons Todd of Durango, Mexico, and Jered of Salem, and Charles (Chuck) (Nell) Forman of Valley Spring, Texas, and his daughters; Libbi Erickson and children of Henderson, Nev., Lacee Forman of Henderson, and Leisha Mc Eldary of Gardiner; another daughter, Lerral Styler, died with her son Zach in 1992. She had another son, Austin of Columbia Falls.

Kendal's wife, Elaine, died in March 2003 and two sons Kevin and Ferin died in 1996 and 1998. Elaine was Luella's special companion. Many nieces and nephews, including Forrest Sizemore of Libby, and Warren Sizemore of Diamond Bar, Calif., and many longtime friends, also survive Luella.

A graveside inurnment service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Polson on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Payne officiating.

Cremation has taken place.

Arrangements are under the direction of Grogan Funeral Home and Crematory, Polson.
