Scholarships are appreciated

I recently finished my first semester at a college that I love. I am very thankful to the businesses, organizations, and individuals in Polson who provide scholarships for Polson High School students. The scholarships I received last year helped make it possible for me to attend the college of my choice.

After comparing with students from cities all across the nation, I am even my more impressed at the number of scholarships our small town provides for its students. This generosity is helping Polson students more than many larger and wealthier communities help their students.

The vast majority of these scholarships are offered to high school seniors. This is wonderful when one is a senior, but the need for scholarships is equally great for upper classmen. I encourage you to think about this and know that the cause is a worthwhile investment and is truly appreciated.
