Some businesses missed opportunity
Editor,
Thank you, Lake County Leader, for the Wedding Fair this past weekend.
I have to say what a "shock" it was to not see many of the local businesses. A lot of the weddings are held at the Best Western, where this fair was also held. We had no idea that Polson had a catering business and that Mission Mountain Resort had banquet facilities as well; thanks for being at the fair.
As we were finalizing our upcoming July wedding, we had no other choice but to use most of the businesses out of the Polson area, such as the tux rentals, linens, gazebo, tables, chairs, photography, invitations, hair salon and so much more.
We were delighted to learn about the Circle P Ranch Vacation Rentals and what they have to offer. We reserved the guest house as they were the "only" lodging at the fair. Best Western did not offer their lodging packages to brides and visiting families, and they hosted the fair. Am I missing something here?
We cannot say enough about Blooming Roses, a lovely local business. Yes, they will be doing our floral arrangements. The florists in Ronan also had a lovely display.
To sum it all up: Polson businesses, you had your chance to shine and you did not show up. For the Polson businesses that showed up, we know you care about the upcoming weddings and we thank you for your displays.
