Polson Pantry is appreciative
Editor,
As we move forward into 2006 it seems fitting and appropriate to reflect on our personal and community accomplishments. We all are truly blessed to live in a country like America and a caring community such as the Polson area.
The Polson Loaves & Fish Food Pantry board and volunteers are very thankful and appreciative of the wonderful support it receives from local businesses, Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes, service organizations, churches and private individuals. We also recognize that you have many opportunities to donate to worthy causes and feel honored and entrusted that you chose the Polson Loaves & Fish Food Pantry.
The pantry provides monthly emergency and supplemental food stuffs/products to area residents (seniors, children/families, and singles) in need of assistance at the rate of approximately 100 clients or 250 individuals per month. In addition to the monthly food dispersal, the pantry provides Christmas food and sundry baskets to those in our community that need a helping hand.
This past fall's Town Pump Donation Match Program goal ($2,500) was exceeded thanks to the many caring organizations and individuals in our community. Your support is vital to the pantry's ability to continue to help those in our community who are in need.
The pantry is open for dispersal of food on Tuesdays and Fridays between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Our operation is also always looking for energetic new faces that wish to give something important and fulfilling back to the community we are blessed to live in!
If you wish to donate your time, talent, and/or treasure to a most worthy endeavor, please contact Gerrie Boyle at 883-5855 or Sid Rundell at 849-5053.
Again, many thanks to the local businesses, service organizations, Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes, churches and individuals who support Polson Loaves and Fish Food Pantry and its' mission to help others.
