| July 19, 2006 12:00 AM

Editor,

On June 14, 2006, the Mission Valley Food Pantry of Saint Ignatius received a $1,500 grant from the Diocese of Helena Aid to Needy Program. This program is supported by contributions from Catholic families and individuals throughout the Helena Diocese.

The "Aid to Needy Program" provided $36,000 in assistance this year to priority volunteer Directed Programs (DOP). These grants were spread geographically through out the Diocese of Helena.

The Mission Valley Food Pantry is supported entirely by donations. The food pantry provides assistance to families in the Arlee/Dixon/St. Ignatius areas and is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If interested in donating to the food pantry or working as a volunteer, please stop in when the pantry is open.
