Lake County Fair is July 31-Aug. 4

The Lake County Fair, on Monday, July 31 through Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, will be providing a wide variety of entertainment and exhibits this year. There'll be something for every taste and every age.

On Tuesday, Aug. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. the Ron Brown Band, out of Wyoming, will be featured with full tilt cowboy rock and roll. Brown and his band earned the 2004 N.A.R. "Country Band of the Year" award.

On Wednesday, Aug. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. will be the Dusty Miller Band. This bluegrass ensemble features local talent, who have recorded with some of the biggest names in the industry, including David Grisman.

On Thursday, Aug. 3, from 6 to 7 p.m. will be the Small Fry Livestock Show during the Buyers' Appreciation Dinner, just before the Market Livestock Auction. This activity is sure to become a perennial favorite.

On Friday, Aug. 4, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., they'll feature the vocal styling and popular western music of Jim Sevre. Sevre has delighted crowds at the Lake County Fair for the past few years. With four CDs to his credit, Sevre regularly appears at venues all around the western United States.

There's free admission to all the shows, as well as all the other events and activities at the 2006 Lake County Fair.
