When will it all end?

| July 27, 2006 12:00 AM

Editor,

Thursday, July 20, the courtroom was packed for the sentencing of J.C. Green, who was found guilty of the murders of Gerald Sirucek and Catherine Madplume a year-and-a-half ago.

At last, we thought, some closure for the grief-stricken was finally here. But no, now the accused wants a psychological examination, which the state facility in Warm Springs has refused to do. We must now wait until at least August so Mr. Green can have his examination done locally. It goes on and on and on.

Two little one-year-old boys must wait again for this case to be closed so the crime lab will release their Daddy's DNA to prove their parentage. How much longer are they going to have to wait to say legally their Daddy was Gerald Sirucek? How much longer will the victims' families have to wait for their closure?

What has happened to swift justice?
