Glenn Taylor Zook

Glenn Taylor Zook, 79, of 72 Treasure State Drive, a business owner and miner, died of natural causes Thursday, June 8, 2006, at a local hospital.

His funeral was in Lakeview Cemetery in Polson on June 10.

Survivors include sons Gerald (Rhonda) Zook of Wenatchee, Wash., and James (Judy) Zook of Helena; daughters Cheryl (Alex) Troncellito of San Diego, Zandy (Tom) Keller of Great Falls, Connie Whalen of Missoula and Debbie (Dennis) Grue of Manhattan; brothers Don (Louise) Zook of Great Falls and Walter (Trudy) Zook of Flathead Lake; sister Vivian Miller of Missoula; grandchildren Kristen, Amanda and Kacie Grue, Lucas Taylor Troncellito, Jesse and Janell McAllister, Samantha and Jed Zook, Trisha and Angelica Evans and Shadelle Whalen.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice, on Dec. 5, 1991, and a brother, Raymond.

Glenn was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Turner, to George O. and Hazel May (Taylor) Zook. He was raised on a ranch near Turner, attending schools at Turner. His family moved to Polson and he graduated from Polson High School.

He married Eunice Ray at Dixon on June 9, 1951.

He worked for F & S Construction in the Flathead and Hungry Horse areas. He owned Zook Brothers' Construction in Great Falls and built a lot of the Interstate highways in Montana. He worked on the Libby Dam and owned the Riverside Inn in Libby and Zook Tire Center in Great Falls.

After the construction business he did mining in Helena and Tonopah, Nevada. He retired in the late 1980s.

He was a member of the Elks and Moose lodges.
