Official election results in
The Lake County election office was able to certify last week's election results, and they are now official. However, election officials were not able to get official results from other counties, which would affect some Senate and House District results here in Lake County.
In our election story in last week's Leader, we reported that current Justice of the Peace Chuck Wall was re-elected. However, both Wall and Lonnie Dean Erickson, who finished with the second largest vote total for the Justice of the Peace race, will be on the November ballot because the Justice of the Peace race was non-partisan, and featured four candidates. That was the only race in last week's primary in which the two top vote getters will be on the November ballot. We regret any confusion we caused.
The following are the official election results for Lake County only. We will try to get final Senate and House results by next week for those districts that cover more than one county, but other counties were slow in providing those results. As of presstime, only the results for Democratic candidates in Flathead County were officially available.
Of the 14,282 active, registered voters in the county, 6,381 voted.
