| June 22, 2006 12:00 AM

An Elmo man was killed Sunday morning, after he apparently pulled out in front of an oncoming pickup truck, on U.S. Highway 93 in Pablo.

Leonard Raymond Joseph, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, near Bob's Auto Mart at mile marker 53.

County dispatch received a call at approximately 9:30 a.m., and Sheriff's deputies, the Montana Highway Patrol and Ronan fire and rescue personnel responded.

According to information provided by the Lake County Sheriff's office, Joseph pulled out onto Hwy. 93 and was hit broadside by a full-size Chevy pickup truck traveling southbound, and pulling a trailer.

The Montana Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation. Initial reports indicate that neither alcohol nor speed appeared to be factors in the accident, according to a Sheriff's coroner who responded to the scene.
