Let Wal-Mart build supercenter

Give me a break. Wal-Mart is the greatest thing to happen to this community. Let Wal-Mart build in order to provide a place for us ordinary folks to go shopping, an employer that respects the employee, greater expansion avenues for new stores that need to come into the area, and more spending coming into the area for your stores.

Most of the old businesses that are fighting a Wal-Mart superstore: You need to know that competition is the American way (and they definitely compete with me. As a local business owner, I stand always to lose customers to Wal-Mart, but I still make a decent, I say decent, living. I don't charge my customers a 50 percent markup, either.

We are Americans. No one should have the right to stop or stall progress in our towns. To Wal-Mart I say, "C'mon, I'm for you." And to the rest of you? Stand down. Let Wal-Mart build.
