Pockets weren't deep enough
Editor,
We were recently in the market to purchase either a self-propelled or a riding lawn mower for home use.
We checked prices at Wal-Mart first. The self-propelled mowers started just over $200 and the riders just over $800.
Wanting to support local businesses, we inquired at two local Polson retailers that offer these products.
Their prices were similar to one another with the self-propelled mowers starting at over $400 and the riders starting at over $1,000.
Needless to say, we made our purchase at Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart Manager Dave Tolley even arranged to have the mower delivered to our home as we don't have a truck. All of the people who are so anti Wal-Mart lately must have way deeper pockets than I do. Even if you try to support locally, how can you really justify not saving over $200? I know I couldn't.
