Pro-Wal-Mart organization formed

I am announcing he formation of Wal-Mart Consumers First. The purpose of this citizens' action group will be to promote the building of a Wal-Mart supercenter in Polson and/or Lake County, Montana.

A secondary purpose will be to offer support and guidance to other consumer groups who are trying to encourage the building of a Wal-Mart store in their trade areas, and who are meeting resistance similar to what we in Lake County are facing.

One of the immediate actions Wall-Mart Consumers First will consider is a boycott by its membership of all businesses connected to or who are supporting the efforts of Lake County First to stop the Wal-Mart supercenter from being built in Polson and/or Lake County.

This strategy would proceed with reluctance, but Lake County First should understand if they are going to pursue efforts to control the shopping opportunities of Lake County Consumers, there may be adverse economic consequences for at least some of their membership.

If you want to contribute to the overhead of this citizens' action group, make all donations payable to Wal-Mart Consumers First. A website will be established as soon as possible.
