Christopher Craig Weivoda
RONAN, MT. — Christopher Craig Weivoda, 18, beloved son, brother and grandson and loved by all who knew him was killed in a car accident on Saturday, March 11, 2006, on the Round Butte highway in Ronan.
Christopher was born in Ronan at St. Luke Hospital on Jan. 2, 1988, with a lot of fanfare as he was the first baby born in 1988 in Ronan.
Chris is survived by his parents, Chuck and Carolyn, at the family home in Pablo; his sister, Charmel McClure and fiance Shawn Sternick of Santa Clarita. Calif.; grandparents Wally and Gerry Weivoda of Pablo; grandma Rosie Kugler of Charlo; grandparents Cecil and Leona Jackson of Round Butte and great-grandmothers Lois Lynch and Darlene Jackson of Ronan; special grandparents Sally and Lloyd Jackson of Pablo; uncles and aunts; Beverly and Dewey Richards and brother of his heart, Justin Borders; Mike and Pam Weivoda of Polson, Deb Weivoda of Pablo, Ramona and Bud Lynch of Ronan, Darlene and Craig Elverud of Ronan, Curt Jackson and family of Ronan, Keith Jackson and family of Ronan, and Jimmy Jackson and family of Missoula.
He will be missed by his many cousins as he had a loving friendship with all of them and was an important part of a large extended family.
He was a senior at Ronan High School with 52 days away from graduation.
Hangin' with his buds and his Ride were his greatest passions and he loved the mountains and snowboarding in the winter. This winter he bagged his first mule deer with his dad.
Throughout his teen years he worked after school and in the summer. He was employed at the Pizza Cafe in Ronan. Chris could hardly wait to grow up and make his mark in the world. He always had a laugh and a love for his many friends.
Memorial services will be on Thursday, March 16 (today), at 11 a.m. at New Life Christian Center. No graveside services will be held. Luncheon will be served after the services at the Family home on Clairmont Road in Pablo.
There will be a fund set up in Chris Weivoda's name at the Valley Bank Ronan to help purchase shop material for woodshop classes. Memorials may also be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
