Nadine Helen Couture

PABLO — Nadine Helen Couture, 68, of Pablo, died on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at her home in Pablo.

Nadine was born on Feb. 4, 1938, in St. Ignatius, to Basil and Vivian DuCharme. She grew up and attended schools in Polson and graduated from Polson High School. She participated in acrobatics and tap dancing while in high school.

She married Roy Couture and they had four children together and later divorced. Nadine attended business school in Missoula for two years and eventually worked as an administrative assistant for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She continued to work at the BIA for over 20 years.

Nadine loved to hunt and fish. She also liked to travel, bowl and spend time with family and friends.

Nadine was active in 4-H in her younger days and was an enrolled member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribe.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gary DuCharme.

She is survived by her children, Wes Couture and his wife Linda of Billings, Tammy Couture of Reno, Nevada, Ronnie Couture of Pablo and Herbie Couture and his wife Betty of Great Falls; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Carol Tenney and Myrna Johnson of Polson, and brothers Harold "Bud" DuCharme of Polson, Ken "Mick" DuCharme of Seattle, Herb DuCharme of Evaro, Butch DuCharme of Los Angeles, Toke DuCharme, Beeb DuCharme, George DuCharme, George DuCharme and John DuCharme, all of Polson.

Mass was celebrated by Father Val Zadilla in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Saturday, March 11.

Cremation followed and interment of cremains was in Lakeview Cemetery on Monday, March 13.
