Rollyn P. 'Bud' Allen

YUMA, Ariz. — Rollyn P. "Bud" Allen, 74, died of complications of COPD and emphysema at his winter home in Yuma on March 10, 2006. He was born Feb. 8, 1932 at Livingston to Rollyn and Muggs Allen. He was raised in the Trident and Three Forks area, where he graduated from high school in 1950.

He attended the U of M and MSU and served in the U.S. Navy.

He owned and operated Bud's Charter Service before working for the Milwaukee Railroad until its demise, and then for the U.S. Postal Service in Whitehall and Polson, where he retired in 1994.

He married Darleen Watson on June 10, 1961, in Three Forks. Together they had two sons, Michael P. and Mark J. Allen. Bud and Darleen had spent the last seven years "living their dream" as full time RVers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bob and Harold, and sister-in-law Emma.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Darleen; his sons and families, Mike, Jake and John of Townsend and Mark, Jill, Derek, Daryn and Dayne of Whitehall; brother Jack and Darlene Allen of Winterhaven, Calif.; mother-in-law Esta Watson of Yuma; stepmother Jane Stevens of Three Forks; stepsiblings, Bill Polston of Great Falls, Betty Rehm of Columbus, special stepsister and friend, Boni Stout of Kalispell; brothers and sisters-in-law Vicky Allen of Clinton, Ark., Allen and Susan Watson of Butte, and Diana and Allen Richards of Yuma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
