Signe E. Wilson
PLAINS —Signe Elizabeth Wilson, 97, of Plains, passed peacefully to the Lord in her home on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born on Nov. 27, 1908, at the family farm in Greentownship, about 10 miles from Valley City, N.D. She was one of six children born to Brent and Annie Bernston.
In August 1933, she married Floyd Wilson in Ekalaka, during her first teaching assignment. Signe leaves behind a legacy of love and children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She really enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
The Folgers was always hot and plentiful and the conversation enlightening. She will be greatly missed by all whom she touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents; a daughter, Arlene Ross; an infant son, Bruce; four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her three children: Jim Wilson of Thorne Bay, Alaska, Sharon Wilson of Plains and Judy Clairmont (and husband, Jim) of Ronan; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend, "Grandma" Lori Adams.
Services were held March 15, in First Lutheran Church in Plains. Burial was in the Plains Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Bunch-Toews Funeral Chapels.
