Pheasants Forever chapter plans event
Editor,
The Mission Valley Chapter of Pheasants Forever will host their annual fundraising banquet on Saturday, April 22, at the Community Center in Ronan.
As usual, the banquet will include games, raffles and live and silent auctions, in addition to a wonderful dinner of baron of beef cooked by Bob and Myrna Gauthier. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a no host social our and dinner will be served at 7.
Pheasants Forever is a nonprofit conservation organization founded in 1982 in response to the continuing decline of the ring-necked pheasant population.
Our chapter is celebrating our 20th anniversary and has enabled the protection and enhancement of pheasant populations by building five miles of fence and planting 5,000 acres of shrubs, food plots, nesting cover, winter feeding and wetland restoration.
In our valley we have helped purchase over 800 acres for public hunting.
We will be asking for your support again this year. Members of our local chapter will be calling over the next couple of weeks to see if you are able to donate to the club. All donations will be recognized at the banquet and in local newspapers. The club members will also have tickets available should you wish to attend the banquet. Dinner for two, which includes a Pheasants Forever membership, will be $55.
Thank you for your continued support of Pheasants Forever. Without your generous contributions, our chapter would not have been successful in sustaining and improving wildlife habitat. If you have any questions or need further information, call me at (406) 644-3325. We hope to see you at the banquet.
