St. Ignatius High scholarships offered

| March 29, 2006 12:00 AM

Editor,

In 1983 the St. Ignatius High School Scholarship was developed to encourage more students to continue with their education. This year, with your help, we hope to continue this program.

Money collected is deposited to the Scholarship Fund at Lake County Bank in St. Ignatius. Students need to apply through the school counselor at St. Ignatius High School.

Students must have a 2.75 grade average or better to apply. They must submit the application, along with a short essay describing their future plans and how this scholarship would benefit them, to the high school counselor by April 15.

Winners are then selected by a committee of interested donors. All contributors are individually recognized at graduation.

Donations are to be sent directly to Lake County Bank, Attn: St. Ignatius High School Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 664, St. Ignatius, MT 59865-0664.

Please do not send them to the high school.

On behalf of the students and the Scholarship Committee, I thank all the people and business that have donated in the past for their generosity.

I also thank you in advance for your time and support in 2006.

Jan McCollum
