Red Poppy Drama Club says thanks

| May 3, 2006 12:00 AM

Editor,

First I'd like to say thank you to Nate Traylor and the Lake County Leader for covering the Red Poppy Drama Club's first show, "Cathleen Ni Houlihan." The cast and I appreciate The Leader and everyone who came out on a Sunday to see us perform. Hopefully this will be the first of many plays to come.

We will be meeting soon to talk about our next production and anyone interested in helping out is welcome to attend.

I would also like to extend a hearty thank you to Julie and Oliva for everything they did for us; and to our families who put up with our absences over the last couple months while we rehearsed.

Finally I would like to say thank you to the cast of "Cathleen" for their patience and faith in that old live theater motto: "The show must go on," and putting up with a stumbling first-time director. It's you that made this happen and I hope to get the chance to work with you all again.
