Fabien Wilfrid Roy

LYNWOOD, Wash. — Former Polson resident Fabien Wilfrid Roy, 91, died on May 13, 2006, at home in Lynnwood, Wash.

He was born Jan. 20, 1915, in Los Angeles, to Victor and Georgiana Roy. Fabien married Pirth Irene Hemenway in 1937 and together they raised their 14 children in Los Angeles.

His main occupation was as a punch press operator. Fabien volunteered in organizational activities both while raising his family and later when he retired to Polson.

Fabien bravely suffered the loss of his dear wife 10 years ago. He focused his later years on bringing joy to his children, grandchildren and increasing numbers of great-grandchildren in California and Washington.

Fabien was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three brothers; two sisters; son Donald; daughter Cecilia and two grandchildren.

He is survived by six sons: Alfred, Lawrence, Francis, Stephen and Timothy, all of California, and Felix of Pennsylvania; six daughters: Sister Callista Roy CSJ of Boston, Georgiann Erhardt, Annette Roy-Feczko, and Julie Roy all in Washington; Mary Avila and Roberta Roy Moralez both in California; 35 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral service was held May 16 in St. Thomas More Church in Lynnwood. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Polson, at a date to be announced by Grogran Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to
